In Praise of Old Post Cards: The Fountain 2011

It was originally known at the “Mt. Hope Reservoir” and its construction in the mid 1870s predates the park in which it now resides. The Highland Park Reservoir and its fountain have been the subject of post cards since pictures on post cards first came onto the scene in the late 1800s. And that is what I had in mind when taking the first photo below in October 2011. The view immediately reminded of post cards that I had seen from one hundred year ago.
